you like 

 to think of the names of 

 the streets in the town where you came from 

 then imagine the day when the signs were first hung 



 and you're sure 

 that you can predict 

 the value of the outdated rhetoric 

 and the poster your friends have you hang on their wall 

 you priced them all

 to walk on the ends 

 when you follow your friends down the stairs 

 you say it sounds like some old watching man got confused
